Tri State Marketing has been serving the Clinton for the past 17 years. Dwight and Judy Wilson, owners of Tri State Marketing, moved to Clinton from Eudora in 2000. Eudora located in the southern east corner of the state is where the name Tri State Marketing was derived due to the Wilson’s business being located on the border of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Tri State as a company dates back to 1980 when it was first opened as an auto dealer and over the years has transformed into the multifaceted operation that we know today.

Wilson has worn a hat or two in his days from his construction company he started in 1972, to his days in auto sales, city zoning officer, and through all these jobs he has taken time to share his faith with others as a full time or part time preacher. Wilson’s day as a zoning officer is probably how he is best known in the community. He recalled when he first started as the planning and zoning officer he was told it was a part time position but that position soon grew to what he said felt like 80 hours a week. Wilson acquired or was a driving force in securing grants or other financial gains for the City of Clinton in upwards of $5 million. Mr. Wilson is one of the major reasons we have the city park we enjoy today. When he took the position of zoning officer Archey Fork Park was not much more than a walking trail. A couple of the other notable accomplishments he helped secure for our town are the early warning system, Highway 65 lighting project, and water plant improvement grant.
