At our June 12th scheduled meeting we had a regular business meeting followed by the election of officers for the new year. They are: Terri Watson, president; Burtie Harder, vice president; and Liz Alvord is the the combined secretary and treasurer. Lue Butler is the non-elected historian/public relations person. She is over the Scrapbook and News items and functions.

On June 28, our club sponsored a light supper and community Bingo (game) night. We had a real good turnout for both. All proceeds went for the upkeep of our building. We are looking forward to the next one.

We are still having our Craft Day. It will be each Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All club members and interested members of the community are welcome to take part. We are planning new programs, such as butterfly gardening, edible flowers, and wheat-free cooking. More programs of interest will follow, come join in the fun and learn something new. As an added note we may work on last-minute scrapbook pages …… Fair time is just around the corner.

We had six members present: Fran d’Orsay, Terri Watson, Lue Butler, Burtie Harder, Wendy Dufrene and Liz Alvord.

Our July meeting was held at the Alread Club House on the 10th at 1:30 p.m. We had six members present: Terri Watson, Sheila McGrath, Lue Butler, Liz Alvord, Wendy Dufrene and Marge Koone.

Secretary/Treasurer Liz Alvord read the minutes from the last meeting and also the treasurer’s report, and old and new business was discussed.

On July 12 we will have a Community Coffee Break at the Alread Club House from 7-10 a.m. This will continue through the summer months on Saturday mornings. It will be a good time to catch up on what is going on in the community while visiting with your neighbors.

Our next regular meeting will be 1:30 p.m. Aug. 14.
