Lots of talk about the weather up here. After about 1 inch of freezing rain and sleet we had 3 to 8 inches of snow (depending on location) fall on top grinding most activity to a halt. As of Monday past 16 West was ice packed and slippery. Most side roads were snow packed. Caution is in order.
Dennis Berry said his wife Charlotte made the best of the situation by working up a batch of delicious snow ice cream.
Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. members of the Foursquare Church put together goodie bags, to be handed out at the Christmas program on Sunday at 6 p.m. The program will include the kids participation, singing and fellowship. The public is invited.
Also members of the church will be Christmas caroling for those who can’t get out on the Sunday before Christmas. This activity is tentative and weather dependent.

t’s a dark and foggy night,
Visibility is slight,
Behold a beacon of light,
An angel within my sight.
The O’Connors on Highway 254 are at it again with angels and snowmen to light up the night and a good thing too with this recent snow storm as well as the many foggy nights and mornings we have been having.
Stay safe and warm and if you live in the Dennard area and have news call Jackie Sikes, 253-4716.
