All the recent rain has area gardeners smiling. Most gardens are lush and growing fast. There was even one report of a ripe tomato being harvested!

If you have information about the greater Crabtree and 16 West community call Jeff Burgess, 745-1249.

Well, we had a great time at the Scotland Alumni Banquet. Those of you that did not come were missed and you missed a good time and a chance to visit with people that you probably have not seen in quite a while.

We we very fortunate to have a lot of volunteer help to do the cleanup. It was the easiest dinner we have had in a long time.

June 7 is the date of our First Saturday Breakfast. We serve at 8 a.m. and the price is $6. We will have a guest from the Chamber of Commerce. This will be a short and informative meeting. They are in the process of printing a new county map. It will have a map of our area on it and a list of things to do in this area. I think there might even be some things on it that will be new information for most of you. The purpose of this is to let tourists know what is available in each part of the county and to make the chamber for the whole county and to represent each town.

We are enjoying the cool weather and the slow rains. It may leave and then turn hot and dry for most of the summer, so enjoy it while it lasts.

Anyone with news can call James Burns at 592-3935.
