The South Side High School faculty worked together to bring the Gatsby era to life for juniors and seniors. Students rotated through stations in the Library Media Center otherwise known as "Dewey’s Place" that immersed them in the culture of the 1920s, including watching silent movies, playing blackjack, learning the Charleston, and making feathered headpieces. This cross-curricular unit was planned by (pictured from left) Katherin Smith, English/History; Amy Hutto, LMS; Mary Lemings, English/Speech/Drama; Tim Smith, principal; Megan Lankford, English; Leigh Ann Henson, English; and Lori Rooney, Family and Consumer Science.
