The Army National Guard Band will honor Fairfield Bay with a concert on Sunday, May 28, 2017, 2-4 PM at the Fairfield Bay Amphitheater in Woodland Mead Park.

The 106th Army Band is made up of National Guard soldiers who are all professional musicians. They get together one weekend a month, with a two week annual training event every summer. Out of these gatherings come great sounds which are shared in and around Arkansas communities. In celebration of the Memorial Day weekend, the band will play a mixture of music including patriotic, smooth jazz, gentle rock, plus “oldies but goodies.” This particular band, known as the Charlie Rock Band, is the premier Rock Band with the 106th Army Band Arkansas Army National Guard, out of Camp Robinson, AR.

Members of the 5-piece group include: SSG Kaede Wilson - Vocalist - NCOIC (Non-commissioned Officer In Charge); SSG Kris Perkins – Guitar; SPC Les Sellers – Bass; SPC Aaron Baggett – Drums; and SPC Josh Fletcher – Keyboard.

This no-charge event is being sponsored by the North Central Arkansas Foundation for the Arts and Education (NCAFA&E), a non-profit organization which brings live concerts and a variety of art displays to Fairfield Bay residents and community students. Please remember to bring your favorite outdoor chairs/cushions and water to drink. In case of rain, the event will be held in the Performing Arts Theater of the Fairfield Bay Conference Center at 110 Lost Creek Parkway, Fairfield Bay.

We look forward to seeing each of you at this relaxing and fun event, which will be the last for the Spring, 2017 season. Watch for announcements of Fall, 2017 events.
