The first annual ACRDC Poker Run was this past Saturday, June 17. The turnout was good, with 25 people playing, and as a whole, the fundraiser was a success. The riders rode from the Alread Fun Park to Rex Road and from there headed towards Slick Rock. The poker run had been postponed a few times in the past month or so due to storms, because of the amount of time on the trail spent in and by the water. It was very important to ACRDC that not only did everyone have a good time, but that they would be safe. Another safety measure that ACRDC implemented was working with the Alread Fire Department to have a firefighter at one of the poker run stops with first aid, in case anyone needed it. The ride lasted about four hours, and while more time for the ride should have been given, everyone had a great time. After finishing the trail, the riders returned to the Alread Fun Park for a delicious meal and good fellowship.

ACRDC is contemplating having a poker run in the fall, when the leaves are changing colors and before the weather gets too cold. A lot was learned, and after receiving a lot of positive feedback and constructive feedback, the ACRDC Poker Run Committee is really thankful and excited and optimistic about future poker runs, which will last all day to give riders plenty of time to enjoy the water and visit with everyone. This fundraiser was to raise money for the Annual ACRDC Concert, which takes place in September every year.
