The 2nd annual Hwy 65 Roadkill Cook-off is set for Sept. 29, with this years theme is “You Kill It - You Grill It.” Chefs compete to see who can make the tastiest dishes with animals often found by the side of the road.


To be clear, it’s not required that you use actual roadkill animals, but they must be the sort of animals that are commonly found on the Highway. In addition, the event also provides an opportunity to support the Clinton Animal Shelter, where as all the tickets sales will go to support our furry friends at the shelter.


The first-place winner takes home the most unique trophy created by Kevin Baker of Sweet & Unique Candy & Crafts Design on Main St., Clinton, bragging rights and $300. And just who exactly is judging these unique dishes? !
