Donnie Crowell, graduate of the Clinton High School Class of 1985, will be the guest speaker at this year’s annual event to be held at the Clinton High School Cafeteria Saturday, April 15. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for visiting and socializing and the program will begin at 6:00. Admission is $10 per person, which includes a meal.
Donnie and his wife, Myra (CHS class of 1983), have two children, Kaleb, and his wife, Brandi, and a granddaughter, Kenzi, all of Searcy, AR. They have a daughter, Lynley, and her husband, Austin Lowery, of Little Rock.
Donnie has worked for Walmart for the past 32 years. He started in 1985 at the original location in Clinton as an hourly associate, working his way up in the company to Assistant Manager, Co-Manager, Store Manager, to his current position of Market Manager. He has worked in Arkansas, Nebraska, Alabama, North Carolina, Indiana, and opened the first Supercenter in Maine. His stores in Searcy and Jacksonville, AR, won the prestigious award of Supercenter of the Year under his leadership. As a Market Manager, Donnie is responsible for 8-11 stores and roughly 2500-3000 associates while serving in his current position.
Donnie has been active in United Way, Rotary Club, Special Olympics, Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals, Junior Achievement of Indiana and the Chambers of Commerce in his cities.
The Alumni Association invites the public to attend this year’s banquet. The annual banquet honors graduates from Clinton Schools and all proceeds benefit scholarships for graduating seniors.
