Alread had its first annual Trunk or Treat on Halloween night, and the community was out in force. Just to name a few names of those who went above and beyond, (though please keep in mind that this is far from a comprehensive list): Ashley and Elias Watson and family, representing the Alread Fire Department, Sue and Rusty Nuffer, for their original and energetic costumes/presence, and John Mays, who, like Sue and Rusty, had a very original costume and presence, and who gave away tons of hand-painted dragon eyes that are just downright awesome. Overall, I think that the grown-ups had just as much fun as the kids!

We are already looking forward to continuing this tradition next year. The Alread Fire Department and ACCDA did most of the planning for the event and members from the Alread EH Club and ACRDC showed up to help as well. We like to work together in Alread, and I know that everyone appreciates all of the hard work and the candy provided for the event. All of the costumes were great! I think everyone deserves a huge round of applause. There were two costume contests, one for the grown-ups and one for the kids. John Mays won first place in grown-up category and Aiden, the werewolf, won first place in the child category. Good job, everyone!
