On April 8, there will be an Easter dinner and bingo night at the Alread EH Clubhouse. Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m., and bingo prizes range from plants, gift cards, Easter baskets, etc. The dinner is free, with donations welcome to support the EH Club, and a stack of 10 bingo cards is $7 and the special bingo cards for the quilt are $2 each.


On Saturday, April 15, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt at the Alread Fun Park. The activities will begin at 11 a.m. and a kid-friendly lunch will be served. The event is sponsored by all five Alread community organizations and we look forward to a great afternoon.


On April 22, there will be an Earth Day event at the Alread Fun Park and surrounding area. Volunteers will meet at the park at 9 a.m. and will clean along the highways until about noon, when a lunch will be served at the park, followed by a horseshoe tournament. I’ll have more information about registration soon.


On May 6, Alread ACRDC will be sponsoring an ATV poker run ranging from the Alread Fun Park to Slick Rock. More information about registration will be available soon.


The Alread EH Club has an exercise program, Get Fit, that meets in the EH Club building in Alread twice weekly, every Tuesday and Thursday, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Admission is free and everyone is encouraged to come. The Alread EH Club also has a weekly quilting class every Thursday from 10:30 to 2. You’re welcome to come, bring your lunch, and have a good time! No skills are required, just the desire to learn and to fellowship.


New volunteers for the local fire district are desperately needed. The district includes the Pinnacle, Alread, Crabtree, and Johnson City Fire Stations. Our fire district is one of the biggest in Arkansas. If you are interested in volunteering, contact the chief, Elias Watson: 501-253-1869.
