The Hot Springs Village Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association will host its inaugural golf scramble and barbecue dinner fundraiser on Wednesday, May 17, at Ponce de Leon Golf Course.
The all-day event features lunch by Mulligan’s, dinner after golf at Balboa Pavilion catered by Smokin’ in Style BBQ, and prizes galore – flight prizes, flag prizes, putting contest, and a chance to win a car for a hole-in-one.
The event, in celebration of National Police Week, is a four-person scramble, with check-in at 9:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 11. The dinner and prize ceremony at Balboa Pavilion begins at 5 p.m.
Current law enforcement officers eat free, and walk-in dinner tickets are available for $25. The price is $90 per person; registration forms are available at www. HSVCPAAA.com and must be submitted by May 10.
Donations and sponsors are welcome. The alumni association is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization; a portion of registration fees is tax-deductible, as are all donations and sponsorships.
The group's mission is “to support the efforts of the Hot Springs Village Police Department to improve the general welfare of our residents, by dedicating resources for meaningful positive community outreach and awareness.”
