Historic Downtown Shirley will be busy the next few weeks and we hope that you plan on stopping by to visit with family, friends and neighbors.
April 29 will be our annual clean-up day, with city residents starting that spring clean-up. Only city residents can take part and can bring items to the rodeo arena parking lot, between 8 a.m.-noon for items to be discarded. List of items to be taken are located at local merchants.
The will also be a ball tournament, with all ages playing ball most of the day.
May 6th, Shirley Super Sale Saturday, 8 a.m. -2 p.m. - Free to set-up - and lots of treasure fill the streets of Shirley. We have lot’s of folks taking part of this event. There will fundraiser’s for future city events, we will be raising money for ball teams and senior citizens programs. Anyone can set-up and agin this event is free!
The Homecoming committee is still taking aplications for vendors , but the deadline is May 15 to sign-up. We still are looking for homecoming pictures from previous years. Share your memories on our memory wall or 50th year program. Homecoming is a wonderful tradition in our little town and we want you to be a part of it. Have any ideas, we would love to hear from you.
