Clinton Junior High School had a busy summer school week studying about volunteerism, community service, and civil service. The students baked cookies and presented to many of the volunteers and service people around Clinton. We worked at Choctaw Food Bank, the Clinton city park, the VBC Animal shelter, and received tours and information from the Methodist Thrift Store, First Service Bank, The Clinton Police Department, the prosecuting attorney, Choctaw Food Bank, and the Van Buren County Animal Shelter. We also visited a new business in town, Unique & Sweet Treats, and were treated to cotton candy. The students collected pennies and were able to donate $40 the animal shelter and $40 to the food bank. You can see many photos from the week at the Clinton Jr. High School Facebook page.
