Well — I hope the rain holds off and does not spoil the Fireworks and Potluck at Alread on Saturday Night. There is always a large crowd and a lot of good food. We plan on attending and will have a great time and get to see a lot of friends. This community works very hard all year to be able to do the fine Fireworks. If you have not been there you are missing a great time. We thank you for your find job.

We are counting on a good turnout for our 1st Saturday Breakfast. I know it will be over with by the time this paper comes out.

We want to thank everyone for their donations toward the new roof for the Scotland Gym. We have over $2,000 of the $20,000 that is needed. We have received several donations in the mail and there is GO-FUND-IT account set up on the Scotland Community Page for those that want to do it that way. We again thank each one for their help.

There will be a public meeting in the Scotland School Cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, to discuss ways to raise funds for the gym roof. I see there is lots of good ideas on the Scotland Community Page please come the this meeting and help plan a good fundraiser. We need lots of help.

I have a correction and an apology to Ruby Black. When she came home from the hospital several days ago, I put a notice in the paper that Pauline not Ruby was home from the hospital. I am sorry that I did not proof the article.

Have a Happy and Safe Holiday. If you have Scotland News please call James Burns at 592-3935 and he will see that it gets into the paper.
