Charles Crain, a gospel singer from the renowned Presley’s, in Branson, Missouri, is one of the performers who will inspire the crowd at the 5th Annual Clinton Gospel Fest, Saturday, July 15 at Clinton High School Cafeteria. It is free admission event running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring Crain at 12:15 p.m. Proceeds from the event benefit the Van Buren County Literacy Council, with proceeds matched by Modern Woodmen of America.
Other gospel groups performing at the Fest are 11 a.m. King’s Highway, 1:15 p.m. Spirit Breez, 2:15 p.m. Hallelujah Harmony Quartet, 3:15 p.m. Sulphur Rd. Pickers, 4:15 p.m. Backwood Pickers.
The Fest will also have available food, including grilled items. During the event a raffle will be taking place, featuring items from over 30 area vendors, as well as door prizes.
The Literacy Council is a non-profit whose mission is to help adults with basic reading, writing and math skills.
