The leaves are changing and just in time. Labor day is this coming weekend and is considered the “unofficial end of summer.” The first Monday in September is designated as a public holiday where we honor the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to our country. Labor Day weekend also marks the beginning of many fall sports. Our county kicks off the sports aspect of the holiday weekend with the Chuckwagon races in Clinton. Whatever your plans are for the weekend, be safe, have fun and celebrate your contributions to your community. No matter what your contribution may be, it’s an important part of what makes our community thrive. Happy Labor Day, and Happy Fall “Y’all”!
Happy birthday too! Happy birthday to daughter, Jessica and so many of our friends and family seem to have August birthdays. “Birthdays are nature’s way of telling us to eat more cake.” Unknown and enough said.
