Alread is having its first Annual Trunk or Treat at the Alread F.U.N. Park and parking lot on Halloween this year. We’ll start at 6 p.m. and there will be costume contests for the kids and for the adults. Everyone is encouraged to decorate their vehicles for Halloween and we’ll have a contest for that as well, though it’s not required that you do so. Come park, bring your candy, and kids from the community can come and trick or treat all in one place in a safe and family-friendly environment. We are really looking forward to starting this tradition this year!
On Saturday, November 11, the Alread EH Club is hosting a dinner and bingo. Dinner will start at 5:30 and bingo will begin at about 6. There is no charge for your dinner, but donations are very appreciated. To play bingo, a stack of 10 bingo cards is $7 and there will be one special bingo and cards for it are $2 each.
ACRDC’s annual meeting is coming up soon; it’ll be on Friday, November 17, at the Alread EH building. There will be a chili supper at 5:30 and the meeting will start at 6:30. If you are a member or if you would like to become a member, please try to make it.
This is really important; the Alread EH Club’s membership is down, and needs people who are willing to take an active role in the club and in the community. Men and women are both welcome. If you’re interested, please come to the monthly meetings, they’re held at the Alread EH Clubhouse on the second Thursday of every month at 1:30 p.m. The Alread EH Club’s exercise program, Get Fit, meets in the EH Club building every MWF from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Admission is free, but donations are very welcome and help the Alread EH Club provide the building for the community’s use.
