Sorry I missed the newspaper last week. We had Pig Eye Daze at Scotland and it was a busy day. We started with Breakfast then started with the races, contest, competitions and cook offs. Wow, what a great time. We earned almost $9,000 toward our roof for the Gym. If you ask about the day , one of the first things anyone will tell you is about the little Pot Belly Pigs that got out and the chase was on. That brought a chuckle from everyone. We had such a good time that we are already planning on another one next year. Thanks to all of those that volunteered and to those of you that came from near and far.

Our Christmas Potluck will be different this year. Decorations and singing and a lot of community participation. That will be the first Saturday in December. Let someone know that you want to be involved. We will be telling you more next week.

Deer season started Saturday. Be safe have fun and get a BIG one. The large ones are out . It has been cool in the morning and I see them on the road early every morning. They are on the move.

Mary Hanks ( the sister of Joe Wayne Jones.) Past away this week after a long illness. Her service will be Saturday November 11 at the Scotland Baptist Church at 10 a.m. We will miss her, but this is what we live our whole life for. To go to our Lord.
