The Clinton SYNP Animal Shelter reports something of an emergency, as 19 abandoned and unwanted puppies and adult dogs, and one cat, have been brought in throughout the past week. Administrator Lori Treat said she currently expected three more puppies and an additional dog to be brought in by county animal control.
“We are overrun,” Treat reported. “Our quarantine area only has 14 kennels. We physically cannot take in any more dogs at this time,” she said.
Treat reminds pet owners about the importance of responsibility, including spaying and neutering pets.
