Ozark Opportunities, Inc. Winter Non-Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program begins Jan. 16.

The program’s goal is to assist low-income households cope with the high costs of electricity or fuel used for heating. This is a one-time assistance payment per program. The program will run through March 31 or until funds have been exhausted. The Winter Crisis (Emergency Assistance) Program is scheduled to begin Feb. 12. See below for contact information.

All applicants must provide proof of identification and proof of income for all household members for the month prior to application. All applicants must provide a copy of electric, propane, and/or natural gas bills. Other information may be requested at the time of application. Please apply in the county in which you reside.

Applications can be printed off the Ozark Opportunities, Inc. website: www.ozarkopp.org under the Community Services, Utility Assistance Section when the program opens on January 16.

Although Non-Emergency assistance does not require an appointment, all other services do. Applicants for the Non- Emergency Program can mail in or drop off their applications at the addresses listed below. For all other programs, please call to schedule appointments. Appointments take priority, but Walk-Ins are welcome. Offices will also be open on non- appointment/walk-in days for drop-offs only.
