The groundhog saw his shadow this week, so I guess we’ll have six more weeks of winter. Tomorrow is the first Saturday breakfast on Feb. 3. We are expecting many friends to join us Saturday at 8 a.m. After breakfast, we can go over to the senior citizen center to check on the pool tournament, bingo games, and of course lunch at noon. The center has this special day every three months on the first Saturday of the month. For those of you that are not aware of the good hot lunches the center serves, they serve at 11:45 Monday through Thursday. The cost is just $3 for seniors and $6 for others. Maybe we’ll see you there.
Scotland Community Corporation will have their annual chili supper at the school cafeteria on Feb 17 at 6 p.m. The cost is only $6 and kids 5 and under eat free. Desserts are always welcome.
Have a good week and stay warm. Call James Burns at 592-3935 if you have Scotland news for the paper.
