Every week there is the exercise program at the Alread EH Club building. The low-impact strengthening classes are always free and meet every MWF from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

On Saturday, April 28, the annual candidates forum and pie auction will be held at the Alread EH Club building. The doors will open at 5 p.m. and a light supper will be served at 5:30. The meal is free, though donations are always accepted gratefully. Afterwards all of the candidates will have a chance to speak and then there will be a pie auction. All proceeds from the event will go to the EH J.D. Puddy Scholarship which benefits college students from the Alread area.

From 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, there will be a fish fry (from fresh-caught fish!) courtesy of the Sandy Watson family at the Alread F.U.N. Park and everyone is welcome to come and eat and enjoy.

Starting at 5:30 on Saturday, May 19, there will be an Italian dinner with salad followed by bingo at the Alread EH Club building. There is no charge for the meal, though donations are accepted, and the cost to play bingo is as follows: $7 per 10 cards and then for the special bingo, it’s $2 per card.

The next Saturday, on May 25, there will be a poker run and concert sponsored by the Bruce family, to raise money for Alread’s annual fireworks show, which is always a huge hit. Registration for the poker run will start at 8 a.m. and Heath Sanders and Lucky Rooster will be playing at the concert. Please search for Alread Fireworks Benefit ATV Poker Run on Facebook for pricing information. It varies depending upon whether you’re playing, riding, and going to the concert or not.
