I hope everyone had a great week and that everyone enjoyed the nice rain that we got on this Friday afternoon. It has cooled off to a cool 78 degrees and feels wonderful.

Tomorrow is the first Saturday of the month and time for our Community Breakfast. We start at 8 a.m. and serve as long as people are coming in or we run out of food, which does not happen very often. I hope all of you remember to come to the Scotland Community Picnic Saturday afternoon, Food will be ready by 5 p.m. in the Scotland Cafeteria. There will be hamburgers, hotdogs and etc. Everyone can bring a dish, come early and play games and we will have music and singing. You all come and have a good time. We hope this gets to be a yearly gathering.

We are having a great time in the Children’s art classes. They have got to the half way mark and we still have three more weeks. We are taking pictures as they finish their art projects. This week they are working on paper collage and they will be so cute. We are thinking about doing this again next year.

It is not too early to be making plans for Pig Eye Daze on the first Saturday in November. I think I will have the studio open and have some art projects so people can make something and take it home with them. That is always a fun way to learn something new and it will let people see all of the fun things we do in the studio.

Have a great week and if you have Scotland news call James Burns at 592-3935 and he will see that it gets into the paper.
