Clinton-based Miller’s Sanitation collects money from their customers throughout the year for the Angel Tree Program. Once all the money is collected Jim Miller Matches the monies donated and office staff pick angels try to get a wide variety of ages and shops and fills those request. Elizabeth said that she enjoys donating to this program more than others because she and Zeta get to shop and fill the gifts. This allows them to be more involved in their giving.
Miller Sanitation office manager Elizabeth Cline said the contributions this year were impressive.
“We have had an angel tree donation jar out all year for our customers to put change in, the generosity of our customers was astounding. What started small has grown by pennies to sometime dollars and even $10, but the majority was just the everyday customer dropping a quarter in here and there. The owner of the company agreed to match it dollar for dollar and it really took off,” she stated.
Proceeds this year were, with company owner Jim Miller matching funds, was $347 which was rounded up to $350.
“We were very pleased to shop for 12 kids,” Cline stated.
Cline said she enjoys donating to this program more than others because she and Zeta get to shop and fill the gifts. This allows them to be more involved in their giving.
