The Highway 110 Volunteer Fire Department is currently participating in the Firewise Communities Program, which provides wildland/urban interface resources for firefighter safety, community planning, landscaping, construction and maintenance to help protect people, property and natureal resources from wildfire.

In the next few weeks, members of the fire department will be doing landscape and construction assessments on each house in the Highway 110 fire district. This requires only visual assessment from the highway or a driveway outside the home being assessed.

The assesment will enable your fire department to help save your home and community more effectively in the event of a house or wildfire. For more information call Dean McKinney at 745-4136.
