A search is under way for a Van Buren County man reported missing by his father last week.

Larry Lacy was dropped off abut 1 p.m. Friday, July 20, in the Mountain Park Road area in Burnt Ridge to retrieve his four-wheeler, which he had wrecked the night before, according to a news release from the Van Buren County sheriff’s office.

When Lacy was not heard from by 4 p.m., his father called the sheriff’s office.

Deputies searched into the night for Lacy and the search continued over the next several days by airplane, helicopter, ATV and on foot. Neither Lacy nor the four-wheeler was found.

The sheriff’s office received a tip that Lacy was seen on a four-wheeler about 3 p.m. Friday, July 20, the same day he was reported missing. Authorities believe Lacy did reach his vehicle and drove it to the Pleasant Valley area. Since then there have been no other reported sightings of Lacy.

Sheriff Scott Bradley asks that anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lacy call his office at 745-3838.
