A truck parked in the driveway of a home on Highway 65 North was demolished Saturday when a car left the highway and went airborne.

Owner of the truck, EuGene Smith, said he was inside his home when he heard the crash about 9 a.m. Saturday, March 29.

He said his 2005 Chevrolet Colorado was destroyed when a 2001 Buick Century veered off the highway and traveled about 489 feet before landing on the truck. The car sheared the cab off the truck, the traveled about another 233 feet before coming to a stop, Smith said.

There appeared to be no serious injuries in the accident.
