Ozark Opportunities Inc. will be accepting applications for the FY 2012 Summer Energy Assistance Program (Regular and Crisis) Monday, July 9, and will continue until funds are depleted or until Sept. 28, 2012.

This program will be for electric assistance only. Regular assistance offers limited financial assistance to eligible low-income households to help meet the costs of their home energy. Crisis Intervention provides assistance to low-income households with energy-related crisis and/or shut-off on the date of application.

Applications for assistance may be made at Ozark Opportunities Inc. in Van Buren County, at 100 Success Drive (phone: 745-2437). Hours are Monday from 8-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. Energy applications will only be accepted during posted hours. All applicants are required to furnish proof of in-come for all household members for the month prior to application. Other information may required at this time of application, including proof of resources.
