Dennis Ray Burris, 95, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, in a local hospital. He was born May 3, 1922, in Scranton. He was a retired store manager for Radio Shack, an Army veteran of the Occupation of Japan, a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Fort Smith and Builders Sunday school class and the widower of Ila Burris.

Funeral will be noon today at St. Paul United Methodist Church with burial at Ware Chapel Cemetery in Scranton under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

He is survived by a daughter, Peggy Primm of Magnolia; a son, Danny Burris of Spiro; a sister, Neva Spicer of Subiaco; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Todd Burris, Alex and Evan Linker and Lance, Kyle and Tyler Primm.
