The Clinton Junior High Yellow Jackets football team ended their season by beating the undefeated Lonoke Jackrabbits at Lonoke, Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013.

The Jackets used almost the entire first quarter on their way to a Wyatt McCoy 1 yard touchdown run. Clinton 6-0.

Lonoke scored in the 2nd quarter to tie the score but these tough, young Jackets ended the half in style.

After a 39 yard pass from quarterback Hunter McHam to Brad Amos, Avery Bramlett ran in a 3 yard TD. McHam completed a pass to Bramlett for the 2 point play. Clinton 14-6.

The second half had no scoring as the defenses from both teams played very well.

Offensive leaders were: McCoy 10 carries for 58 yards; Bramlett 13 for 46 yds; Mitchell McNeill 7 for 34 yards; and McHam 4 for 19 yards.

Defensive leaders include: 5 tackles each for Andrew Kozma and Stiles Booher; 4 tackles each for Bryce Billings, McCoy, Alexander Cooley, Hunter Passmore, and Jeremiah Roberson; Bramlett intercepted a pass also.

Players that were injured and missed much of this season include: David Beavers, Dalton Hoyle, Jake Ferrell, Kort Weaver, D.C. Fulbright, and Caleb Miller.

Other players important to this program but rarely mentioned include: Josh Pryor, Nate Lonnon, Cody Morris, Tate Grissom, Regan McGaha, Gunnar Ward, Johnathon Ochoa-Lopez, Matt Burch, Stephen Blake Hunt, Austin Dees, Jacob Hardy, and Lucas Potts.

The final record for those Jackets is 6 wins vs. 3 losses and 5-2 in conference. Coaches are Chris Dufrene, Joe Hudson, Jesse Wilson and Derrick Aynes.
