The North Central Arkansas Artist League announces their new art exhibit at Ozark Health Medical Center. Ten local area artists shared nearly 50 art works for public view until July 31 in two areas, downstairs in the Outpatient Wing (south entrance) and upstairs near the Cafeteria (nursing home entrance).

The theme “You Are My Sunshine!” brought forth many floral paintings: hollyhocks, roses, dogwood, iris, daffodils, sunflowers and more. Also present are paintings of local landscapes: Sugarloaf Mt., Ozark streams, misty mountains, lakes, marinas, and barns. For people who enjoy something unusual, there are butterflies, owls, rabbits, vacation destinations, abstract, and even Darth Vader.

Artists exhibiting are Yun Kim and Joyce Hubbard, Mt. View; Charlotte Rierson, Ellen Kelly, Fairfield Bay; Sue Pico, Diana Foote, Faye Rodgers, Clinton; Jan Cobb, Greers Ferry; Connie Hood, Foley, Alabama; and Exhibit Coordinator Joyce Hartmann, Choctaw.

The Outpatient Wing display can be viewed from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Cafeteria display is open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. A portion of each purchased painting helps support Hospital Auxiliary projects.

The Artist League also displays their art at the Greers Ferry and Fairfield Bay. They meet in Fairfield Bay to paint together and hold workshops. Several members plan to have a booth at “Blooming in the Bay”, an outdoor gardening festival at Leamon Park in Fairfield Bay on May 13.
