Central Presbyterian to host dinner

Central Presbyterian Church will host a Valentine dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall followed by an Ash Wednesday worship service at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary at 2901 Rogers Ave. The meal will consist of Chicken Alfred, green beans, homemade yeast rolls and a dessert. Cost is $5 per person.

Grace Lutheran to hold Lenten services

Grace Lutheran Church will hold its Ash Wednesday service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 18218 U.S. 71 South in Greenwood. Lenten services will continue each Wednesday through March 21 with a light supper at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall followed by the worship service at 7 p.m.

Celebrate the Golden Rule

Interfaith Fellowship and the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith Cultural Network will host the second annual Community Celebration of the Golden Rule at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Reynolds Ballroom at the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center, 800 N. 49th St. Sophia Said, program director of the Interfaith Center of Arkansas, will speak, followed by a video presentation and music.

'Samson' coming to Branson

Sight and Sound Theatre in Branson will premiere "Samson" on March 3 with a cast of 44 actors and 34 live animals. The production will run through Dec. 29. Tickets begin at $49 for adults and $23 for children ages 3-12. Visit www.sight-sound.com for information.

Centering prayer retreat slated

St. Scholastica Retreat Center will offer a centering prayer retreat March 22-25 at 1205 S. Albert Pike. The Christian meditation retreat will be led by Nick Cole and is designed for anyone wishing to strengthen their centering prayer practices. Silence will be observed throughout the weekend experience, and a 12-step meeting will be available to anyone wishing to attend.
