This Saturday, May 6, ACRDC is hosting an ATV Poker Run. Registration will start at noon at the Alread Fun Park and you will be given your list of rules and a map at that time. All riders must be 18 or older and the registration will end at 1 p.m. Please note that you’ll need to bring your driver’s license and that each driver will be entered for door prizes! All four-wheelers, Razors, and side-by-sides are welcome. The cost to enter the event is $25 per vehicle. A meal will be served after the poker run at the park and will be $5 per person (drivers eats free). T-shirts for the event will be available for pre-order, for $15 each. The ACRDC horseshoe tournament for Earth Day was rained out, but ACRDC will be rescheduling another tournament soon.
Saturday, May 13, there will be an Ozark Health fair at the Alread Cafeteria. Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. and is sponsored by ACCDA.
Wednesday, May 17, the Pope County Library Bookmobile will be at the Tilly Store (10:30 a.m.) and at the Zion Hill Cemetery (11:30 a.m.).
The Alread EH Club has an exercise program, Get Fit, that meets in the EH Club building in Alread now three times weekly, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Admission is free. A weekly quilting class meets every Thursday from 9 to about 1.
