Friday night at the Depot stage , Kasey Kimmons will open the two day event at 7 p.m. with Carl Acuff Jr. and his road show at 8 p.m.
Saturday morning is what all kids young or old can’t wait for: The Turtle races and kids games. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and games at 10 a.m. And remember folks: Please don’t paint on your turtles and please take them back to the area from where you found them.
The Community center will host a fundraiser for our senior lunch program 11 a.m. -2:30 p.m. serving burgers and hot dogs with all the fixin’s. There will be a potato salad and macaroni salad contest - and Michelle is in need of home-made desserts. Don’t forget the parade is at 2 p.m.
Saturday is the only day for rodeo this year, but it’s gonna be packed with excitement. Pee-wee’s start at 3 p.m. and the big show is at 8 p.m. You will have two performances from the drill team Cross Road Angels, from El Paso, Ark.
The Shirley Afterprom will host the mechanical bull between 4 - 8 p.m., sponsored by Cowboy Auto Group. The Shirley Museum will be open all day and stay open late to share all the memories that are on display.
