December already.  This year has gone too fast.  This has been a long day. I opened the High School building today in case we have storms this evening. I open it so there will be shelter for any that might need it.   At noon today we heard that Anchorage, Alaska had a 7.3 earthquake.  That is where our son and his family live.  We finally heard from them and they are fine. Just shook up and in awe that it could happen so quickly and you never forget that you were there.

Saturday is our First Breakfast and then our Community Christmas Dinner.  Another busy day. The Scotland Senior Center will have their Christmas Party on Dec 15. More about that next week. On the 3rd Friday, Dec 21 they will have the monthly Jam session. Come to hear or bring your instrument and play.  They have been having about 80 or more. Come and join in the fun and you will have a great time.

The Scotland Baptist Church took 16 people and went to the fifth Thursday gospel singing on Wolverton Mountain.  They had good singing and a wonderful supper afterward and of course, they always enjoy the fellowship.

Have a great week and watch for deer and hunters and be safe.  If you have Scotland News call 592-3935 and I will see that it gets into the paper.
