CHARLESTON — Voil V. Rippy, 100, of Charleston died Feb. 9, 2018. He was born July 11, 1917, in the Marietta community. He was a farmer, worked at Ballman Cummings Furniture and Rheem Manufacturing in Fort Smith, was a Sunday school teacher, deacon and member of the hospitality group at First Baptist Church in Charleston and the widower of Carmon Rippy.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Smith Mortuary Chapel will burial following at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Smith Mortuary in Charleston.

He is survived by a son, Rondal Rippy of Ozark; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
