Residents of Van Buren and Faulkner counties who owe community service hours due to district court sentences can earn double community work service credit by enrolling in efforts to clean up the counties following the April 8 total solar eclipse.

District Court Judges Chris Carnahan and Charles E. Clawson made the move to incentivize work service following estimates that tourist traffic could double the populations of Van Buren and Faulkner counties in the lead up to and on April 8.
